Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
AI First Academy ("we", "us") runs this website and the AI First Academy programs, community and newsletter. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
2. Data We Collect
- Information you give us. Your email address when you subscribe to the newsletter, and any details you submit through our live-session sign-up form or send us directly.
- Browser storage. The newsletter pop-up uses your browser's storage to remember that you dismissed it (for the current session) or subscribed (until you clear your browser data). This stays on your device.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider may log standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability.
We do not collect payment details on this site. Enrolment and payment for cohorts are handled by Maven, under Maven's own terms and privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To send the newsletter and updates about programs, sessions and community events.
- To run free live sessions and respond to your questions.
- To keep the site secure, understand how it is used, and improve it.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us operate, such as website hosting, form and email tools, and the community platform, and only as needed for them to do so. We may also disclose data where required by law. Links on this site to third-party services (Maven, Slack, YouTube, LinkedIn, Substack, Google Forms) are governed by those services' own privacy policies.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser storage only for the functions described above. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings, after which the newsletter pop-up may appear again.
6. Retention and Security
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email. To exercise any other right, contact us using the details below.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
